  • Mac (Apple Silicon, macOS 13 or later): Zornov-0.1.2-macos-aarch64.dmg, signed and notarized.
  • Windows (Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit): Zornov-0.1.2-windows-x64.msi, or the portable zornov-windows-x64.zip.
  • Linux (64-bit, glibc 2.39 or later, so Ubuntu 24.04, Debian 13 or Fedora 40 and newer): Zornov-0.1.2-x86_64.AppImage, or zornov_0.1.2_amd64.deb for Debian and Ubuntu.
  • Claude Desktop extension: open Zornov.mcpb to let Claude edit with the Zornov you installed.

What's new

  • Windows. Zornov runs natively on Windows 10 and 11. It draws with DirectX 12, and the shader compiler is included.
  • Shapes from mathematics.
    • Lattices like the gyroid, and fractals like the Mandelbulb and Menger sponge.
    • Parametric surfaces, knots, height fields, L-system plants, phyllotaxis and strange attractors, or any formula of x, y, z and time.
    • Fractals and implicit solids can be traced straight from their formula on the GPU, with no mesh.
  • Characters and looks.
    • Toon and anime shading, with cel bands, rim light and ink outlines.
    • Sculpted hairstyles that sit under a hat, and closed clothes that move with the skin.
    • Fabric patterns at their real size.
  • Puppets walk. Each foot plants on the ground and lifts in an arc.
  • Music and sound.
    • The composer knows 18 genres, now including metal, punk, trap, drum and bass, synthwave and chiptune.
    • It plays 29 instruments, including distorted guitars with power chords.
    • More sound effects, and footsteps on wet pavement.
  • AI assistants (MCP).
    • Every tool and op is documented with units and ranges, and wrong fields are refused with the right ones.
    • check and review stop flagging what you meant on purpose.
    • Walks keep their timing, and the Mac's voices narrate when no voice service is set up.
    • Set up Zornov in Claude Code (/plugin marketplace add zornov/zornov), Claude Desktop (Zornov.mcpb), Codex or any MCP client; see AI assistants.
  • Faster, steadier.
    • Placing a model on a huge mesh takes milliseconds instead of seconds.
    • A crash when several renders opened the graphics device at once is fixed.
    • Built with Rust 1.99.1.

If you already have Zornov on a Mac, Windows or Linux, it updates itself.

Zornov 0.1.1

26 October 2026 · Downloads and files

Zornov now comes to Linux, and every download is much smaller.

Download: zornov.com/download

  • Mac (Apple Silicon): Zornov-0.1.1-macos-aarch64.dmg, signed and notarized.
  • Linux (64-bit): Zornov-0.1.1-x86_64.AppImage, or zornov_0.1.1_amd64.deb for Debian and Ubuntu.
  • Windows is on its way.

What's new

  • The stickers, music and sound effects library is now a free download inside the app, so the app itself is about 60 MB instead of 360 MB. Open the Assets or Audio panel and choose Download the library. Zornov checks the download before installing it, and a dropped connection resumes where it stopped.
  • Many fixes across physics, fonts, the AI editor's guides and the test suite.

If you already have Zornov 0.1.0 on a Mac, it updates itself. After the update, download the library once from the Assets or Audio panel.
